Pune (India), June 11, 2012: The Philanthropic arm of Cybage - CybageAsha, inspired by the success of its rural development program in Karnawadi village in Bhor Taluka, has now adopted two more villages - Rajewadi village and Hartali village in Khandala Taluka.
CybageAsha's rural development program at Rajewadi village aims to improve the living standards of the 600 inhabitants by conducting various awareness programs, executing infrastructural development projects, and supporting the construction of the Zilla Parishad School.
The Zilla Parishad School at Rajewadi village was inaugurated on Saturday 09th June 2012. Organized by the Rajewadi Gram Panchyat, the inauguration of the school was held in the presence of Mr Elston Pimenta (Head HR, Cybage) and the CybageAsha team, the President of Zilla Parishad, the head of Rajewadi village, and attended by the Rajewadi inhabitants. CybageAsha under its rural development program at Rajewadi village has actively supported the construction of the Zilla Parishad School in partnership with the Rajewadi village Gram Panchyat to improve the educational infrastructure of the village. As part of the school inauguration program, CybageAsha also distributed school kits to over 40 students of Rajewadi village.
CybageAsha began its rural development program at Rajewadi village with a cleanliness drive and thereafter conducted a health camp. Till now, 12 toilets have been constructed with the help of the local villagers. They are also being educated on maintaining proper sanitation. CybageAsha makes a positive difference to the villagers at Rajewadi through its ongoing initiatives such as educating the villagers regarding cleanliness, community health, and women's empowerment. Apart from these initiatives at Rajewadi village, CybageAsha also has other plans for the village which are in pipeline, they are, donating solar street lamps and constructing a systematic drainage system.
