The client was operating on a legacy on-premise hosted product and an outdated technology stack.

A major issue among the client’s architecture problems was the presence of heavily customized individual customer-specific deployments that were added to meet the customer's needs. These deployments further inflated the infrastructure costs and maintenance issues.

With the business growing , it was getting difficult for the client to maintain the upkeep of the system and further scale it to meet the growing needs and evolving business demands. Moreover, the client’s architecture faced serious application performance issues, leading to system downtime and an inconsistent experience for its users.

After studying the existing system and understanding its limitations, our team recommended transitioning from the on-premise outdated legacy infrastructure to a modern scalable and agile cloud-native infrastructure with a standardized and modular deployment architecture.

The Google Cloud Platform was suggested as the ideal destination for the infrastructural overhaul and the establishment of a future-ready system.

Phase 1: Migration to a Modern Tech Stack

In this phase, we migrated the client’s legacy platform to a modern, maintainable technology stack that guaranteed future-readiness and easy integrations with the latest applications. We enhanced the platform's foundational performance and responsiveness, ensuring that it is compatible with the latest advanced tools.

Phase 2: Designing Scalable Data Workflows

After completing phase 1, our experts turned focus to upgrade the client’s data processing capabilities. Our team designed and developed Spark Jobs to process high volume data efficiently and implemented Apache Airflow DAGs to facilitate automation of complicated workflows. This helped the client to move from tedious resource-incentive manual data handling to a structured, scalable, and reliable data pipeline.

Phase 3: Deploying CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure

After designing scalable data workflows, our team utilized Helm charts to build and deploy robust automated CI/CD pipelines. This was done to accelerate the release cycles, minimize manual interventions, and reduce operational overheads to free the client's team to focus on more productive tasks that promoted innovation.  The modernized components were then deployed on GCP to support elastic scalability and offer greater agility.
 

We eliminated the on-premise infrastructure and unlocked substantial savings for the client and minimized the expenses incurred with hardware maintenance and fragmented customer deployments.

This simplified infrastructure management and reduced operational overheads.

By adopting the modern cloud-native solutions, the client gained a scalable architecture and was able to overcome the problems associated with the legacy system and achieve greater agility and performance.

The cloud-native architecture seamlessly supported scalability and enabled the client’s business to support the increased workloads and user demands.
